Mumbai Indians beat Kolkata Knight Riders to secure their first win in the new season of the Indian Premier League. They won what was a back-and-forth game by six wickets at Eden Gardens. Kolkata reached what seemed a strong total of 187-5, with Gautam Gambhir hitting 64 and Manish Pandey 52. However, Jos Buttler’s 41 from 22 deliveries, along with an unbeaten 84 from captain Rohit Sharma, took Mumbai to the win with five balls remaining.
