Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi and Neymar are on the shortlist for the Ballon d'Or, along with Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo has taken the award for the last two years, while Messi is targeting an unprecedented fifth title. Meanwhile, USA World Cup-winning captain Carli Lloyd, Japan midfielder Aya Miyama and now-retired Germany striker Celia Sasic are in contention for the FIFA Women's World Player of the Year award.
