Rajasthan Royals go top of IPL table after defeating Chennai Super Kings

Yashasvi Jaiswal's incredible performance helped the Rajasthan Royals make history by scoring over 200 runs for the first time at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Jaiswal's 77 off 43 balls, along with a great finishing effort from Dhruv Jurel and Devdutt Padikkal, helped the Royals reach 202/5.

In response, the Chennai Super Kings struggled to keep up with their chase. Although Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 47 off 29 balls, he became the second of three wickets that Adam Zampa took. Meanwhile, Ajinkya Rahane fell for 15 off 13 balls, leaving the Super Kings to hope for a miraculous partnership to come from Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dube. Dube kept the team interested until the 19th over, where it became mathematically impossible for CSK to chase down the score. Dube was dismissed off the last ball of the match on 52 off 33, and CSK's innings ended on 170/6, resulting in a 32-run victory for the Royals.

Earlier in the match, Jaiswal led the way in Rajasthan Royals dominating the powerplay with his 26-ball half-century. Although Jos Buttler played second fiddle to Jaiswal, they scored 64 runs in the first six overs. However, after Jaiswal's dismissal, RR struggled to maintain their run rate. Nevertheless, Padikkal and Jurel gave the Royals a good finish, taking them to a score of 202/5. The pair put up 48 runs off 20 balls for the fifth wicket as RR scored 63 runs in the last five overs.

With this win, the Rajasthan Royals have gone back to the top of the table and done the double over CSK this season. It's a historic moment for the Royals, not something that many teams can boast of in the IPL.

However, the match was bittersweet for the people of Jaipur, who missed the chance to see their beloved MS Dhoni bat. He scored his legendary knock of 183 off 145 on this same ground back in 2005 against Sri Lanka, and many still remember that moment with moist eyes as he slowly bids farewell to all the grounds where he has left memories in his storied professional career.
