Team Emirates' Tadej Pogacar takes Stage 4 victory in the mountains

Team Emirates rider Tadej Pogacar (SLO) has taken over the UAE Tour race leader's jersey with a win in Fujairah's mountain stage.

He finished the 181km hill climb at the top of Jebel Jais in 4:49:24 seconds ahead of Adam Yates (GBR) and Aleksandr Vlasov (RUS).

The peleton started at Fujairah Fort, taking in the Fujairah coast, before heading past the Fujairah International Marine Club and into the Hajar Mountains.

The Slovenian is now the overall race leader, followed by Filippo Ganna (ITA) in second and Vlasov third.

Tomorrow, the race moves to Ras al Khaimah for Stage 5, a 182km road race ending at Al Marjan Island.
