South Korea Winter Olympics to see North Koreans cross demilitarized zone
North Korean athletes will be allowed to travel through the demilitarized zone into South Korea before next year’s Winter Olympic Games.

Organisers have confirmed the move is a symbolic gesture of peace.

The no-go zone was established at the end of the Korean War in 1953 and the four kilometre stretch of land is occupied by huge numbers of armed troops stationed on both sides.
